1. One of the set-ups are clutter free, convenient, and more efficient in getting something done.

2. Less bulky stuff, stuff that can be convenient to the user, and cheap stuff.

3. These considerations contribute to wether people want to buy your product.

My 5 questions for the 'elderly challenge'

1.How is the current transport for the elderly nowadays?

2.What challenges are the elderly faced with today?

3.What are the services that are offered to the elderly today?

4.What is the regular savings of an elderly?

5.What range of products do the elderly buy?

The Elderly Challenge

The four key recommendations are:

1.Elderly-friendly housing

2.More accessible transport for the elderly

3.Increased care for elders

4.Increased opportunity for elders

The CAI are recommending a bigger variety of housing options to cater to the needs of the elderly.

We can lower the cost of the care-taking services, and make their services more efficient.

As SST students, we can do more volunteer work, and be more friendly to the elderly, and lastly help in the construction of elderly-friendly equipment.

The 3 Rs in SST

P.I.E.S.

1. Laptop bag

P- The bag is nice as it is dark blue and black

I- I need to be careful with what I stuff into the bag.
E- It sucks as the strap spoiled easily.

S- I can tell my friends what to buy and what now to buy.

2. Something that your elder gave to you

P- It is my grandfather’s coin collection.
I- I need to keep it properly, as it is an old piece and can be destroyed or tarnished easily.
E- I will be sad as it will remind me of my deceased grandfather.

S- I will be able to share the history of the coin collection with my friends.

3. A ride on the MRT

P- I get to enjoy the air con.

I- I will have to be alert, so as not to make an elderly stand if I see one.

E- I will get happy when I do a good deed by giving up my seat to an elderly.

S- I will get my chance to show a good deed to my friends.

1. A trip to the movies

P- I get to enjoy the movie cause’ what movies I choose to watch are usually those interesting ones.

I- NIL

E- I am happy to eat popcorn, something I usually don’t eat.

S- I get to hang out more with my friends.

Research

1. I think research is about finding things either on the internet or books & reading materials so that we can learn more about things that we want to find out about.

2. I think that research is important as helps us to understand more about a certain topic.

3. We can conduct a good research by looking up not only the internet but also books that we have, and even enquiring from our friends if need be. We can also ask our teachers for information.

ADMT lesson 1: personal reflection

1.Art, Design, media & technology is a session where we can be innovative, and design things.

2.ADMT is important as it will be of help in the future if we want to take certain jobs.

3.I would want to learn graphic designing skills, so that i would be able to pursue my dream as a graphic designer working @ bungie.
